On behalf of the Road Safety Month, Zonal Transport Officer Kathiravan headed an eye check-up camp in Mettupalayam. Doctors in the camp checked the eyesight of drivers and conductors who come for licence.
To encourage the importance of road safety and to bring awareness among the public about road accidents happening on a daily basis, TamilNadu government conducts "Road Safety Month" from January 18th to February 18th every year.
As a part of the Road Safety Month, Transport Department Authorities are involved in organising various events which emphasises the use of Helmets, Seat Belts and various other traffic rules which will help TamilNadu become a better state with no traffic accidents.
With today being the 10th day of the Road Safety Month, the transport department organised for an eye check-up camp for drivers and conductors in the city.
