Polio Eradication Programme Camps to be held in Coimbatore

Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Kumaravel Pandian requested the public to give Polio Drops to their kids under the age of 5!


Coimbatore: Medical Camps are to be held in Coimbatore as a part of distributing Polio Drops to kids on January 31st. Under the National Polio Eradication Programme, camps are held in Coimbatore this Sunday from 7 am to 5 pm.

Polio Drops are to be given free of cost to children under the age category 0-5. Due to this District welfare centers, Dispensaries and other government and private hospitals are being stocked andprepared ahead of the vaccination day.

Camps are also being set near Railway station, District offices and bus stands to give Polio Drops for children visiting Coimbatore from other districts or states.

District Corporation Commissioner Kumaravel Pandian inspected the camps and said that the Polio Drops are completely safe and assured that the vaccine will not have any side effects on children.

Corporation Commissioner Kumaravel Pandian then asked the public to cooperate in eradicating Polio completely and asked parents to give Polio Drops to their kids despite any illness or medication their children are under.
