Training for 500 head nurses to prevent complicated deliveries
Coimbatore: Training was provided for 500 head nurses to handle complicated deliveries in Coimbatore. Various measures are being taken throughout Tamil Nadu to control maternal mortality rate, including diagnosing and treating pregnant women at risk of complications and counseling pregnant women.
As part of this, head nurses working in government primary health care centers and urban primary health care centers are being trained on how to diagnose complicated deliveries and refer them to the hospital immediately.
Maternal Welfare Officer said, "More than 500 head nurses have been trained in 83 primary health centers. The 500 head nurses in the district are divided into 10 sections and trained. So far training has been given in 9 sections. The next division will train on Monday. Nurses who do not participate in the training in these categories will be trained next week. Officers from Chennai are monitoring the exercises."
