Dates (Khajoor/Khajur) are famous for their healing properties. They are rich in several vitamins, minerals fibre, and have many health benefits. The dates strengthen the human body to fight against health issues like Constipation, Intestinal Disorders, Heart problems, Anemia and Diarrhea.

Dates are one of the sweet foods that can help in improving the digestive process. They also enhance energy levels in people within half an hour of eating. Moreover, they are also effective in guarding against the problem of night blindness.

People consume dates in several ways. They mix the paste of the dates with milk, yoghurt,  bread or butter to treat their taste buds. The paste is also beneficial for both adults and children. It is more useful during the time of recovery from an injury or illness.

1) Dates prevent Diarrhoea: As the dates are rich in potassium, they are effective in preventing diarrhoea. It also helps in promoting the health of intestinal flora.

2) Dates regulate cholesterol: There is a high content of potassium and zero sodium present in dates. They are also excellent in the case of high blood pressure. Five to six dates contain 80 mg of magnesium, which also enhances the blood flow. In order to lower down the blood pressure, one needs roughly 370 mg of magnesium.

3) Dates fight Anemia: Dates can be the best dietary supplement for people suffering from Anemia as they are rich in iron. However, regular consumption of 100 gm of dates will also give 0.9 mg of iron, which translates to about 11% of iron’s recommended daily intake.

4) Dates prevent strokes: Dates boost the nervous system and also reduce the risk of strokes as they are rich in potassium. The potassium is a necessary ingredient for healthy and responsive nervous system. Also, on an average, the human body requires at least 400 mg of potassium daily to prevent strokes.

5) Dates Promote Heart Health: Dates are also quite helpful in keeping your heart healthy. Eating overnight-soaked dates every morning will improve your heart health.

6) Dates ease Constipation: They help to fight against in constipation problem. To get better result soak dates in water and drink the same water early morning.

7) Dates promote weight Loss: Dates contain no cholesterol. The consumption of dates every morning will also help to maintain a healthy body weight.
