People think that most common superfoods do not belong to India, like berries, avocados, exotic fruits etc. That is why these foods are expensive too. But the fact is, our country is a storehouse of all the nutrients having all the beneficial herbs and spices. Hence, here we are going to talk about some Indian superfoods which are even more beneficial than imported superfoods.

Amla or Indian Gooseberry:

Amla or Indian Gooseberry has a lot of health benefits. It is extremely rich with vitamin C, even better than oranges and lemons. Other than that, it has dietary fibre, phosphorus, iron, calcium, carbohydrates, cholesterol and sodium etc. All these ingredients can make amla a superfood which fights cold, eye problems, boosts immunity etc.

Turmeric:

Turmeric is the most ancient spice in India. From keeping our immunity boosted to providing beneficial nutrients in the body, turmeric is the best. It offers a lot of anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial effects which relieve us from infections, inflammations and various bacterial attacks.

Curd:

The curd provides probiotics to our body which increases the immunity. If you eat one bowl of curd daily, it will provide 100-150 calories and 20 percent of the daily calcium needed for the bones and strength. It even strengthens the teeth, nails and your knee joints. It is extremely good for your cardiovascular health.

Moringa:

Moringa is a great food which is far better than any other foreign superfoods. It will provide you with a lot of antioxidants, vitamin A, vitamin C, potassium, calcium, iron and protein. Also, compared to milk, Moringa leaves are better as they contain four times more calcium. It is called drumsticks too. It protects your heart health, makes your skin glow, increases the immunity etc.
