Coimbatore: Applications invited for Kabir Award and should be submitted by January 10th, 2022. The Kabir Puraskar Award for Social and Class Reconciliation is presented by the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu on the occasion of the Republic Day every year. The award is available in three sizes, each at a rate of Rs.20,000, Rs.10,000, Rs.5,000.
Applicants from Tamil Nadu (excluding Armed Forces, Police, Fire and Civil Servants, unless their community reconciliation is part of their public service work) are eligible for the Medal. This award is given in appreciation of the physical and mental strength of a person belonging to one caste, race, class, other caste, ethnic group or their possessions, during class violence or in continuing violence.
