Coimbatore: The last date for direct admissions at Government ITIs has been extended till January 15 of this year.
Coimbatore District Collector, G S Sameeran stated that direct admissions at the Government Vocational Training Centres in Coimbatore will be held till January 15.
A press release issued by the District Collector stated, “The admissions for vacancies in the one year and two years training departments in the Government Industrial Training Institute, Anaikatti Government Industrial Training Centre, Government ITI (Women) are in progress for students who have passed Classes 8 and 10. The last date for direct admissions has been extended till January 15.â€
“Admissions will be held for both men and women in the vacant two-year courses in the departments including Instrument Mechanic, Machinist and Turner and in departments which include Food Production, Interior Design and Decoration at Government Industrial Training Institute. The tuition fee is completely free.
Hostels with food facilities will be provided to Backward Classes, Most Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribe trainees. The age limit is 14 to 40. There is no age limit for women. It has been informed that all the trainees who have completed their training in the ITI will be provided employment in the private sector through campus counselling,†stated the press release.
