In Tamil Nadu, the Department of Revenue and Disaster Management, Government Order No.882, has been curtailing the curfew till 31.12.2021 as on 15.12.2021 to curb the spread of coronavirus. During the festive season, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu under his chairmanship on 31.12.2021.
Among them are Minister of Water Resources Duraimurugan, Minister of Urban Development KN Nehru, Minister of Higher Education. Ponmudi, Minister of Public Works E.V. Minister of Labour and Medicine, Minister of Public Welfare Ma. Subramanian and senior officials were present.
Coronavirus control restrictions have been extended to 31.1.2022, according to a report dated 27.12.2021 by central government.
This is followed by an extension of the curfew in effect until 10.1.2022 in order to take measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection, in view of the spread of the Omicron variant and in the public interest.
New restrictions have been imposed in the public interest in the light of medical experts' predictions that the spread of coronavirus infection is likely to increase as the public gathers at the same time and in the same place during the festive season.
The current ban on public gatherings such as social, cultural and political gatherings will continue.
Kindergartens, play schools and nursery schools are not allowed to function.
All schools are prohibited from conducting direct classes from 1st grade to 8th grade ending 10.1.2022.
Holding all exhibitions and book fairs is currently postponed.
The following activities that are already allowed will continue to be allowed with the appropriate restrictions.
School Classes, Colleges, Vocational Training Centers from Class 9 to Class 12 will follow standard guidelines.
The existing guidelines regarding places of worship will continue to be upheld.
Only 50% of customers will be allowed to sit and dine in restaurants, hotels, apartments, hostels and lodges.
Amusement / amusement parks 50% are allowed to operate with customers.
Marriage and marriage-related events will only be allowed to be held with a maximum of 100 persons.
Shopkeepers must ensure that clothing stores and jewellery stores operate at least 50% of the customers at a time.
Gymnasiums, sports , restaurants in casinos will be allowed to operate with up to 50% of customers at a time.
Gymnasiums and yoga training centers will be allowed to operate with up to 50% of clients at a time.
Passengers will not be allowed to travel beyond the seats in public transport buses.
Only 50% of the seats in the metro train will be occupied by passengers.
All theaters (including Multiplex / Cinemas / Theaters) will be allowed to operate only with maximum seats up to 50% of the audience.
Sports competitions will be allowed in open outdoor playgrounds following standard guidelines.
Indoor sports halls will be allowed to hold sports competitions with 50% spectators following standard guidelines.
Beauty salons and salons will be allowed to operate with up to 50% of customers at a time.
Operations that are already approved will be allowed to continue with appropriate restrictions.
No more than 50 persons will be allowed in case of death.

General:-
People over the age of 60 who have not been vaccinated are more likely to be infected with the Omicron virus. I kindly request those who have not yet been vaccinated to be vaccinated and those who have not been vaccinated in the first installment and those who have not been vaccinated in the second installment to be vaccinated immediately.
Hand sanitizer with dispenser must be placed at the entrance of the shop for customer use and must be thermally screened.
I urge the management concerned to ensure that the employees and customers of the shops wear the helmet. Failure to do so will result in legal action.
Everyone who works in businesses and its owners must be vaccinated. I kindly request all companies to adhere to the social distancing when enabling customers while using air conditioning.
Prevention measures
Diagnosis of Infectious Diseases, Diagnosis of Infectious Diseases, Treatment, Vaccination and Adherence to Corona Prevention. (Test-Track — Treat-Vaccination — Covid — 19 Appropriate Behavior) principles will be strictly enforced. In order to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection, the District Collector and the local bodies should actively carry out preventive measures as per the standard guidelines, demarcating the control zone boundaries (micro level) of the disease in the affected areas.
In limited disease control areas, the following disease control measures should be strictly followed.
Only essential activities should be allowed in the disease control areas. In these disease-controlled areas, activities other than the provision of medical emergency services and essential items are not permitted.
House-to-house monitoring teams will be set up to monitor the spread of the disease actively in containment areas.
Coronavirus infection control practices are constantly monitored and those who engage in violations are fined.
In Tamil Nadu, despite the spread of the coronavirus, the present metamorphosis of the Omicron variant of coronavirus is spreading and the Greater Corporation of Chennai Commissioner, District Collectors and local bodies need to ensure that coronavirus prevention procedures are followed in public places. Continuous monitoring of coronavirus disease prevention practices in factories, businesses and private companies.
During the upcoming festive season, all members of the public must wear face masks in public places to strictly observe social distancing to avoid gathering. The CM requested the District Administration, the Chennai Corporation, the Medical Department and the local bodies to go to the vaccination camps and make it compulsory for the public, especially those above 60 years of age, to pay the compulsory vaccination and to cooperate fully with the measures taken by the Government for the benefit of the people.
