Coimbatore: With the curfew in place in Tamil Nadu, lessons are being conducted online for students. Police have explained to parents how to prevent pornographic videos from popping up while reading online.

Schools and colleges are closed and lessons are being conducted online for students. Due to this, it has become necessary for all students to use a smartphone. Thus videos are likely to come up with unpleasant ads which are usually frown-worthy when students use cell phones.

Therefore, the Coimbatore District Police has said that steps should be taken to avoid such unwanted advertisements, "Parents should constantly monitor their children's cell phone use. Camscanner, sticker, MX video player, ES File Manager, YouTube and Chrome usage should be monitored when using smartphones for online classes. Parents may need to go to the Play Store on the smart phone used by their children and turn on the Parental Controls button in the settings to prevent the use of unwanted apps. Then they have to click the App and Games screen at the bottom and click on the age of their children. Next you have to touch the screen called Films and select U. Then go to YouTube Settings and click the Restriction Mode screen on the General page and turn it on. By doing these methods you can prevent unwanted advertising and frowning videos from coming in when children use a smartphone.

Therefore, every parent should monitor their children who use smart phones and perform these instructions.' Said the police advising the parents of students studying online.
