Coimbatore: Health department officials have announced that people with corona infection like symptoms can immediately contact the 108 service number or the Coimbatore district control department to conduct tests for them.

Central and state governments are making various efforts to control the spread of coronavirus. Following this, 144 bans have been issued nationwide. Roads are seen deserted with no movement of vehicles. 

In the meantime, people with corona symptoms are currently in serious trouble as there are no transport facilities. Similarly, when symptoms show up, they are confronted with various doubts, including which hospital to visit.

Ramesh Kumar and Krishna, Coimbatore district health officials, said that those who show signs of this condition can immediately contact the ambulance service number 108, district control room number 1077, and 0422-230114.

Rameshkumar, Director, Health Department, Coimbatore said all facilities at the ESI hospital have been made to admit people with symptoms of the corona. About 20 people were examined yesterday after 60 people approached with fear of corona.

People who have no symptoms and suspicions will not need testing. Around 400 people have been placed under surveillance in the Coimbatore district. People who have returned from abroad, Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra can contact them. 

Upon suspicion, they can call 108 or district control room number and get themself tested. Around 8 people had called up 108 and were taken to ESI hospital. Private hospitals such as PSG, KMCH, Abinandan and Royal Care have also been prepared for emergency assistance. He also said that pregnant women are being high priority and given assistance.
