Chennai: With the lockdown imposed across the country, several people and homeless are deprived of food. To tackle it, corporations have set-up public kitchens to serve food for the needy.
Chennai: With the lockdown imposed across the country, several people and homeless are deprived of food. To tackle it, corporations have set-up public kitchens to serve food for the needy.
In this case, private organisations and NGOs have been working to help the needy and setting up kitchens in the city. But the govt has come down on such activities by saying private entities and NGO'S are prohibited to distribute food packets.
The corporation said those who are interested can donate rice, pulses and oil to the public kitchens set up by the corporation to help those in need.
The Corporation has requested public to contact 90877 90877 for those who are in need of food.
