In a statement issued by the District Collector, he said "Under the National Labor Promotion Scheme (NAPS), the Tamil Nadu Government Apprenticeship Camp at Coimbatore Regional Level is scheduled to be held February 24 from 9 AM to 5 PM."
He added that more than 1,000 vacancies will be filled by Central and State governments, public sector undertakings and private-sector corporations in Coimbatore, Tirupur, Erode, Karur and the Nilgiris district.
"If selected, the vocational trainer will be trained and given the National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) of the Central Government. Preference will be given to those who receive the National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) from employment in government and private companies. Also, NAC recipients get priority in foreign employment", the District Collector noted.
Currently, the increased allowance for the employer is available from Rs. 7500. NCVD and SCVT apprentices from Government and Private Vocational Training Centers 8th, 10th, +1 and +2 classes with original certificates and documents are eligible to participate.
