On 15th July 2023, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University and KMCH, Coimbatore jointly organized an awareness programme on Organ Donation. Almost 600 Under Graduate students from Agriculture, Horticulture, Agricultural Engineering and Agricultural Management from the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University came together to attend this programme.
Coimbatore:Tamil Nadu Agricultural University and KMCH, Coimbatore collaborated to organise an organ donation awareness programme on the campus of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University on July 15, 2023.
Nearly 600 undergraduate students from Agriculture, Horticulture, Agricultural Engineering, and Agricultural Management took part.
Dr.N.Maragatham, Dean, Centre for Students Welfare, TNAU has delivered the welcome address and offered introduction remarks on the awareness programme. Doctors from KMCH, Coimbatore Dr.Biswakumar Prabhakaran, Consultant HPB & Multi Organ Transplant Surgeon and Dr. ArulrajRamakrishnan, Consultant Hepatalogist & Endoscopist created awareness among students through facts, figures and motivational videos.
Students interacted with the Doctors and clarified their doubts regarding various aspects of organ donation. After the awareness lecture, all the participants of this programme signed in the banner as a gesture of awareness on organ donation. The NSS unit of TNAU has made arrangements for the awareness programme.
