As many as 73 alumni members from the 1969- 73 batch graduates participated in the event along with their family members. A fund donation of Rs. 13 lakh was presented to the Corporate fund of the University, which was a collective contribution by 473 members of the Golden Jubilee batch members.
Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University organized a Golden Jubilee Meet 'Co 73' for the 1969-73 batch graduates on Tuesday. As many as 73 members participated in the event along with their family members.
The Chief Guest Dr. V Geethalakshmi, Vice-Chancellor of TNAU presided over the Meet and welcomed the gathered alumni.
The Golden Jubilee Meet also witnessed a series of events that included a silent prayer to the 32 departed souls of the same batch.
Subsequently, Ms. Nandagopal accompanied by the alumni committee members presented a fund donation of Rs. 13 lakh as a contribution to the Corporate fund of the University, which was a collective contribution by 473 members of the Golden Jubilee batch members.
The 'Co 73' Committee Chairman, Selvaraj offered a felicitation and presented a memento to the guests along with the committee members Arun Kumar, Nandagopal, Sridharan, Palanivel and Moorthy. Selvaraj recalled the journey of the University and its milestone achievements. He emphasized the significant role of the family in building up a personality as a whole.
