The 34th convocation ceremony of Tamilnadu College of Engineering, Coimbatore and Tamilnadu School of Architecture was held in the college premises. A total of 863 undergraduate engineering and post-graduate engineering graduate students were awarded degrees at a function presided over by Dr. Ravi, founder and chairman of Tamil Nadu Engineering College.
Coimbatore: The 34th annual convocation of Tamilnadu College of Engineering, the first self-financing engineering college in Tamil Nadu, and the 10th annual convocation of Tamilnadu School of Architecture college, which was started at Karumathampatti in Coimbatore, was held in a grand manner at the college's auditorium.

Balasubramanian, an alumnus of The Tamilnadu College of Engineering and a senior official of a leading software company in Chennai, who was the guest of honour at the function, said that the more man's life span, the more economic progress and career opportunities will increase. Citing the example of NOKIA and KODAK, he advised graduates that they would disappear in this digital world if they did not learn the emerging technology.
Speaking on the occasion as another chief guest, Dr Arumugam, Vice-Chancellor of Thiruvalluvar University, said that for an engineer, dream is the root of innovation. He said that multidisciplinary engineering knowledge is conducive to today's environment and therefore students should learn them in the field and rise in their lives.
The convocation ceremony was attended by Dr Anusha Ravi, Chief Executive Officer, Park Education Group and Tamilnadu College of Engineering.
