The Consul General Appreciated the institution’s effort in facilitating students to learn Japanese language and the establishment of Yokogawa Centre of Excellence in Distributed Control Systems in the campus.
Coimbatore: Taga Masayuki, Consul General of Japan for Chennai visited Kumaraguru Institutions to explore the collaborative opportunities and exchanges between India and Japan in culture, education and research.
The Consul General Appreciated the institution’s effort in facilitating students to learn Japanese language and the establishment of Yokogawa Centre of Excellence in Distributed Control Systems in the campus to train students in the state-of-the-art facilities sponsored by the company.
The Consul General highlighted the possible collaborations through JETRO to connect with Japanese industries. He extended support to initiate research activities involving Japanese Scientists working in the fields of human science, social science, and political science besidestechnology, and for their visit to industries in Coimbatore and to the campus for student interactions.
Shankar Vanavarayar, President, Kumaraguru Institutions, said that these initiatives will benefit a larger audience including students, industry and public and he emphasized the launch of a Youth Exchange Program (YEP) between Japan and India. He assured his support and involvement of Kumaraguru Institutions in all Indo-Japanese initiatives from the city of Coimbatore and beyond
