WhatsApp first announced that stickers were coming back in May during Facebook's F8 developer conference.
Stickers will be available sometime in the future. As of this time, however, there is no release concrete release date for when we might start seeing them. The tweet shows off two unreleased sticker packs: Bibimbap Friends and Unchi & Rollie.
At this time, it isn’t known if we’d see the same sticker packs migrate over from Facebook Messenger, since the two platforms are owned by Facebook, after all.
Currently, there isn’t an obvious way to actually enable these stickers to work – we’ll have to wait until the feature officially arrives either in the beta or public releases.
Sometimes, emoji don’t offer the best way to express oneself and stickers might be preferred. Besides this, they’re often cuter than emojis. Tell us what you think though! Do you really care for stickers or would you rather just use emoji to convey something across?
