In Coimbatore, a 12-year-old boy achieved a Union World Record by maintaining a hasta konasana yoga pose for 7 minutes and 20 seconds atop a 15-foot tower, braving the scorching heat.

Coimbatore: A 12-year-old boy from Coimbatore has etched his name in the Union World Records by performing a challenging yoga pose atop a 15-foot tower for over seven minutes in sweltering heat.

Sarvajith Narayanan, a seventh-grade student from Chinnavedampatti area, maintained the hasta konasana pose for an impressive 7 minutes and 20 seconds, setting a new world record. The young yoga enthusiast has already garnered two Guinness World Records and numerous awards in yoga competitions.

The record-breaking event took place at Velammaal Bodhi School, where Sarvajith is a student. A 15-foot tower was specially erected on the school premises for this attempt. Sarvajith climbed the tower and performed the ashta konasana, a difficult yoga posture, maintaining his balance for the duration of the record.

Christopher Taylor Graft, the manager of the Union World Records book from Russia, was present to witness and validate the attempt. After carefully monitoring Sarvajith's performance, he officially recognized the achievement and presented the young boy with a Union World Records medal and certificate.

The feat was made even more remarkable by the scorching heat, as Sarvajith balanced himself using only his hands in an angled pose atop the tower. His fellow students, teachers, and members of the public cheered him on throughout the attempt, applauding his extraordinary display of skill and concentration.

This latest accomplishment adds to Sarvajith's already impressive collection of trophies, awards, and certificates that adorn his home, testament to his dedication and passion for yoga from a very young age.
