Coimbatore Mayor Kalpana Anandakumar who received 65 petitions at the Public Grievances Day meeting held at the Coimbatore Corporation office directed officials to take appropriate action on the petitions.
Coimbatore:Coimbatore Mayor Kalpana Anandakumar has directed officials to take immediate action on all of the 65 petitions received at the Public Grievances Redressal meeting held in Coimbatore on Tuesday.
Mayor Kalpana Anandakumar chaired the meeting at the main office of the Coimbatore Corporation. Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation (CCMC) Commissioner, M Prathap and Deputy Commissioner Dr. M. Sharmila were present at the meeting.

At the meeting, people from across Coimbatore Corporation submitted a total of 65 petitions to the Mayor, including various demands on basic amenities like birth and death certificates, road facilities, lights, drinking water facilities, underground sewerage, industrial tax, property tax, vacancy tax, new water connection, name change, medical, health and education.

Mayor Kalpana Anandakumar who received the memorandums directed the concerned Zonal Assistant Commissioners, engineers and officials to take immediate appropriate action on the petitions.
Zonal Assistant Commissioners Manickam, Mohanasundari, Sekar, Muthu Ramalingam, Mahesh Kanagaraj (Po), Assistant Commissioner (Administration) Saravanan, Assistant Commissioner (Revenue) SenthilKumar Rathinam, Assistant Commissioner (Accounts) Sundarraj, Assistant Executive Engineers, Assistant Town Planning Officers, Assistant Engineers, Corporation officials and the general public participated in the meeting.
