Bathtubs are what can make a bathroom look luxurious. They are like a stunning centrepiece in a living room - it beautifies the area around. Bathtubs are meant to enhance your bathing experience and cushion you with a sense of luxury and opulence. There are several types of bathtubs available in the market and choosing the right one is important else it might kill your fantasies of a soothing bath. If you are planning to install a bathtub in your bathroom, you need to understand the types of tubs available and decide which one suits your needs.

Clawfoot Tub: This is most trending bathtub. It is cute to look at and gives your bathroom a retro look. These tubs have little feet and are available in some amazing looks. If you are a cleanliness freak, this one works best for you since there is space beneath it to be cleaned regularly, and it has not panel edges to be wiped regularly.

Alcove Tub: If you live in an apartment and have very less space for installing a bathtub, this is the right choice for you. Alcove tubs are surrounded by walls on three sides and have only one open or finished side.

Drop-in Tub: Similar to the above category of Alcove tubs, ‘Drop-in tubs’ are like an embed in a pile of tiles or another material. These tubs involve greater financial investment and more work at installation. But since they require minimal maintenance, they can be a good choice for an evergreen bathtub.

Angled Freestanding Tub: This kind of tub is a great choice if you love to take longer and relaxed baths or love reading a book while you soak yourself in hot bubble bath. One side of this kind of a tub is higher than the other which supports your back, neck and head so that you can spend more time in the soothing water.

Japanese-Style Soaking Tub: Since Japanese believe in healing and rejuvenation, their bathing preference is to kneel down completely in the water up to their chin. So if you prefer to soak yourself and require a tub that occupies minimum space, this is the right choice for you!

Corner Tub: Best way to utilise an awkward corner in your bathroom is by installing a corner tub. The best thing about the corner tubs is that they have an extra ledge space all around which you can utilise to adorn with interesting bathroom accessories.
