Coimbatore District Collector Sameeran has said that those interested in participating in the District Level TN Chief Minister's Cup for sports can register their names online till January 17.
Coimbatore: The Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu (SDAT) will be conducting 42 district level competitions and 8 zonal level competitions in Coimbatore for the participation of school and college students, differently-abled, general public and government employees said District Collector Sameeran.
The district-level competitions will be organised in January and February, while the state-level competitions will be held in May.
At the district level, various competitions including Kabaddi, silambam, athletics, basketball, badminton, football, hockey, swimming, volleyball, table tennis will be held.
In general category, persons in the age group of 15 to 35 years, school students in the age group of 12 to 19 years and college students of 17 to 25 years are eligible to participate in these competitions.
Also, there is no age limit for differently-abled and government employees to participate in competitions.
Coimbatore District Collector Sameeran has said that sportspersons who wish to participate in the Chief Minister's Cup for sports can register their names through the website www.sdat.tn.gov.in till January17.
