More than 90 people from different parts of the country started their journey as the 5th special train from Tamil Nadu to Kasi Tamil Sangamam departed from Coimbatore at 5 am today.
Coimbatore: In a bid to strengthen the spiritual, cultural and cultural linkages between Kasi and Tamil Nadu, the Government of India is organizing a programme called 'Kasi Thamizh Sangamam'. The opening ceremony of the event was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, music composer Ilayaraja and many others.

In this situation, special trains are being operated from Tamil Nadu for this Kasi Tamil Sangamam event.
So far, four trains have reached Kasi from Tamil Nadu, while the fifth train service from Coimbatore started at 5 am today.

As many as 90 passengers from various districts of Tamil Nadu started their journey from Coimbatore railway station to Kasi Tamil Sangamam train today.
A large number of people including handicrafts manufacturers, powerloom weavers and musicians participated in the train from Coimbatore on May 20.
It is to be noted that many traders and entrepreneurs participated in the train which left Coimbatore today.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) congratulated the passengers going from Coimbatore railway station to the Kasi Tamil Sangamam programme.
The event was attended by Vanangamudi, state president of the BJP's advocate wing, Arasur Asokan, state secretary of the spiritual and temple development cell, and others.
The railway and city police were on security duty ahead of the start of the Kasi Tamil Sangamam train service from Coimbatore railway station.
