The District Collector of Coimbatore has stated that the age limit for family planning for the parent benefiting under the Girl Child Protection Scheme has been increased from 35 to 40-years.
Coimbatore: The District Collector of Coimbatore has stated that the age limit for family planning for the parent benefiting under the Girl Child Protection Scheme has been increased from 35 to 40-years.
Two schemes are being implemented under the Chief Minister's Girl Child Protection Scheme through the Social Welfare Department. In the first scheme, a sum of ₹ 50,000 is given as assistance to the child of the couple undergoing family planning with one girl child and ₹.25000 to the couple with two girl children in the 2nd scheme.
The mother and the father should produce proof of age, caste certificate, birth certificate of both children, mother's surgical certificate, proof of no male heir, ration card income certificate (within ₹ 72,000). If there are two daughters, the second girl child should be certified before the age of three.One of the parents with girl children should have a family planning operation, as per one of the eligibilities of the scheme.
The government has now issued orders increasing the age limit for family planning from 35 to 40-years.
“All the credentials can be uploaded online at the e-Service Centre and for further details, the Social Welfare Officer and Women Welfare Officers working in panchayat union offices should be approached.†stated the Collector
