Coimbatore: In a press statement, Coimbatore District Collector Dr. G. S. Sameeran, announced that the Coimbatore District Veterans Welfare Office has been providing package financial literacy development financial assistance to the children of ex-servicemen.
The statement announced that the association provides monetary support allowing children of ex-servicemen to continue their school education, higher education, vocational education of all categories, vocational degree and diploma courses.
Academic development financial assistance is provided for all years of study except for the final year, if students continue to pursue graduate studies while still appearing for the exams. The deadline for applying for financial assistance for higher education has been revoked. Therefore, it was conveyed in the press statement that the children of ex-servicemen can apply and avail the financial assistance.
