Essential stores viz., Pharmacies, vegetable shops, departmental stores, milk shops shall function on Sundays. Others shall remain closed. Restaurants and bakeries are allowed for only take away on Sundays from 8 am to 10 pm.
Multiplexes, cinema theatres, shopping malls, tourist spots, children’s parks should be closed on Sundays. Farmers’ market, wholesale shops in market will function on rotational basis with 50 % shops alone open. The ban already imposed on all the weekly markets in the district will continue and the Pollachi cow market is allowed to operate with local customers.
All shop owners of textiles, jewelry, and any shop open, the workers, managers, owners should have at least administered their first jab of the vaccine. Customers should be checked for their first jab at least before being let in for shopping.
"I kindly request people to follow all the preventive measures and sustainable operating procedures announced by the Government of Tamil Nadu and the District Administration and cooperate with the District Administration," District Collector GS Sameeran stated in the press release.
Along with the restrictions announced by the Government of Tamil Nadu, the district administration of Tamil Nadu had announced additional restrictions as the cases were comparatively higher.
