Coimbatore: There are 116 Waqf institutions registered with the Tamil Nadu Waqf Board in Coimbatore district. The Ulamas will be given a subsidy of Rs. 25,000 or 50 per cent of the price of the vehicle to purchase a new two-wheeler.
To avail the scheme, the applicant has to provide Aadhar Card, Voter ID Card, Age, Income Certificate, Photograph, Certificate obtained from the concerned officer in case of transferee, Driving License, Education Certificate, Bank Account Number, and IFSC of the bank account number with the code, the first page of the book and the proof of work experience should be obtained and submitted with the signature of the District Superintendent.
Coimbatore District Collector Sameeran said that along with the invoice for the purchase of the vehicle, the District Backward Classes and Minority Welfare Office can receive the application and within 15 working days of receiving the application, they can avail the benefit.
