Lockdown with additional relaxations in Coimbatore ... Collector Sameeran announced the rules ..!


Coimbatore: Collector GS Sameeran has announced that additional relaxations have been announced on the coronavirus lockdown in Coimbatore from yesterday.

In a press release issued by Collector Sameeran regarding additional relaxations, he said, “Additional curfews have been announced in the curfew from todayas the spread of coronavirus in Coimbatore district is declining. Accordingly, shops in Coimbatore district which were already allowed to operate till 7 pm are now allowed to operate till 8 pm. The government has allowed to hold private industry exhibitions.

Restaurants, bakeries, and restaurants in hostels will be allowed to operate with 50 percent of customers from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Parcel service only until 9pm. Tea shops will also be allowed to operate with 50 per cent customers.

Gymnasiums in entertainment venues will be allowed to operate with up to 50 percent customers. IT and IT service companies will be allowed to operate with 50 per cent employees.

Hostels, lodges and guest houses can accommodate up to 50% of customers. Preserved monuments of the Archaeological Department, excavation sites will be allowed to operate from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Gymnasiums and yoga training centers are allowed to operate with up to 50% of the customers simultaneously.

Tasmac stores will be allowed to operate from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Devotees will be allowed to perform pooja following the coronavirussecurity measures at places of worship. Any religious festivals are not allowed.

Clothing and jewelry stores will be allowed to operate with up to 50 percent of customers. Shopping malls and malls will be allowed to operate from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. At the same time, theaters and stadiums are not allowed to operate here.

Public transportation is also permitted within and between districts. However, only 50 per cent of the seats without air conditioning will be open to passengers.

Training centers including Anna Management Training Center and Government Training Centers will be allowed to operate with 50 per cent trainees. Amusement and amusement parks will be allowed to operate with 50 percent customers. Only outdoor games are allowed in these parks.

Weddings and other events will only be allowed with up to 50 people following Coronavirus guidelines. Only 20 people will be allowed at the funeral.

Owners must ensure that employees and customers in permitted stores and establishments wear mandatory face masks and adhere to social distancing. Likewise the general public should avoid coming out unnecessarily even though relaxation’s are announced.

Shops failing to comply with the above guidelines will be prosecuted under Sections 51-60 of the Disaster Management Act 2005.
