Corporation sprays disinfectant in public places and containment zones; Individuals warned not to spray disinfectant within Corporation limits


Coimbatore: Disinfectants are currently being sprayed by the Corporation at bus stands, vegetable stalls, railway stations, markets and Government offices in Coimbatore to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

Apart from these public places, the containment areas affected by Covid-19 are also being disinfected, and at the public's request several other places were also disinfected.

Corporation Commissioner and Special Officer P Kumaravel Pandian stated that there were complaints that someindividuals were spraying on the streets with banned disinfectants. Corporation has therefore prohibited for anyone to privately disinfect within the Corporation area and warned violators will be prosecuted.
