Corporation Commissioner Kumaravel Pandian inspects Covid-19 prevention efforts undertaken in isolated areas of Eastern Zone of Coimbatore
Coimbatore: Corporation Commissioner Kumaravel Pandian inspected Covid-19 prevention efforts undertaken in the isolated areas of the Eastern Zone of Coimbatore Corporation.

Commissioner Kumaravel Pandian inspected the isolated houses at Nehru Nagar East and Ilango Nagar in ward no 34 in Kalapatti area. Later, he also visited the isolated houses near Pillaiyar Kovil Street in ward no 33.

He inspected the areas in isolation to check if all essential items (milk, groceries and vegetables) were being delivered to people in isolation, along with other necessary measures taken by the Corporation. He requested people who are isolated to test themselves regularly and to always be vigilant. He also advised them not to step out of their houses till the end of the quarantine period.
The Commissioner then checked if the isolated houses were being disinfected, both in the mornings and evenings. Later, he visited health workers in the area who inspect door-to-door in isolated areas, to check the body temperature and pulse count using Oxy ULL.

After inspecting the work being carried out by vehicles disinfecting areas in Ward No. 34 Viriyampalayam, the Corporation Commissioner Kumaravel Pandian urged the public to wear face masks compulsorily, maintain social distance, wash hands frequently with soap and abide by the guidelines of the Government to ensure a Covid-19 free Corporation.
During the inspection, Corporation Commissioner Kumaravel Pandian was accompanied by Zonal Health Officer Chandran and other health inspectors and Corporation officials.
