Coimbatore: A meet was held at the district collectorate to discuss about the voters identification list preparation with regard to the upcoming assembly elections.
The meeting was conducted under the leadership of Karunagaran director of Handlooms and Textile department and District supervisor of voter's list name changes. District Collector Rajamani led the meeting.
During this meeting supervisor Karunagaran said that, “Under the order of Indian Election Commission a voters name list was published online on November 16th. Through this voters can now check their name, address and other details online.
A special camp to make changes and addition to the voters list was set-up both in the month of November and December.
The forms of people who have changes have been collected and now the officials must carefully check and process the changes made. Officials must supervise the changes that are being made.â€
He also said that “no eligible voter should be left out from the list and at the same time it must be carefully checked to remove the ineligible voters. All complaints from the voters should be solved at a 100% without anything held back.â€
District revenue officer Ramaduraimurugan, Sub Collector (Pollachi) Vaidhiyanathan, revenue officer Suresh Kumar, District Collector's assistant (election) Muthuramalingam and other government authorities took part in the meeting.
