Kerala - Nilgiris Tourism

Accordingly, the West Bypass project will proceed from Madukkarai on the Coimbatore-Palakkad road to Narasimhanaickenpalayam via Sundakkamuthur, Perur Chettipalayam, Theethipalayam, Madampatti, Somayampalayam, Vadavalli, Pannimadai Kurudampalayam and Nanjundapuram.
The first phase of the project cost Rs 320 crore over the last four years. The total length of the road is 32 km and in the first phase is to build a distance of 12 km. For this 100 people from 5 villages are to be compensated soon.
District revenue officials said, "A consultation meeting was held with landowners regarding the acquisition of land for the West Bypass. Of these, we are currently planning to provide compensation to 100 persons from 5 villages where the works will start once the compensation is paid."
