Coimbatore: Vocational Awareness and Skill Training programme in Coimbatore District is to be conducted through webinars, informed the District Collector K. Rajamani.

Coimbatore: Vocational Awareness and Skill Training programme in Coimbatore District is to be conducted through webinars, informed the District Collector K. Rajamani.

In a press release to this effect he said, "Each year the second week in July is observed as the Vocational Awareness and Skill Training week and July 15 is observed as the Skill Training day. In observance of this, awareness programmes regarding Vocational Awareness and Skill Training are being planned to be conducted through webinars."

He further listed the activities planned for the Vocational Awareness and Skill Training Week that will be held between July 8, 2020 and July 15, 2020 and the Skill Training Day to be observed on July 15, 2020.

1. On July 8, 2020Vocational Awareness and Skill Training will be conducted for Differently abled persons.

2. On July 9, 2020Vocational Awareness and Skill Training awareness will be created regarding Higher education for women, competitive exams, private sector employment and self employment.

3. On July 10, 2020Vocational Awareness and Skill Training awareness will be raised for school students.

4. On July 13, 2020Vocational Awareness and Skill Training awareness will be raised for students studying in Vocational Training Institutes.

5. On July 14, 2020Vocational Awareness and Skill Training awareness regarding classes conducted for competitive exams, virtual learning websites, private sector work and internet will be organised for people seeking employment through the District Employment and Vocational Guidance Centre.
