Coimbatore: Corporation Commissioner and Special Officer J. Shravan Kumar has requested roadside vendors to provide their bank account details immediately, in order to receive their relief fund of Rs.1,000.
Coimbatore: Corporation Commissioner and Special Officer J. Shravan Kumar has requested roadside vendors to provide their bank account details immediately, in order to receive their relief fund of Rs.1,000.
Announcing this he said, "Due to the rapid spread of COVID-19, the entire nation has gone under a lockdown. Due to this the livelihood of roadside vendors has been affected. The CM had announced a relief fund of ₹1,000 on March 24, 2020"
He further said, "Under the guidance of Minister SP Velumani, the 6,169 roadside vendors registered under the Coimbatore Corporation will receive the relief fund of ₹1,000 into their bank accounts. A total of Rs 61,69,000/- has been allotted to the Corporation for this."
"Therefore according to the census taken in December 2016, people registered as roadside vendors and provided with a ID card can receive their relief fund of Rs 1,000 into their bank account. In order to receive this they need to have a copy of their roadside vendor ID card, Bank pass book copy and Aadhar card copy and call to fix a time to present their documents to the Corporation main office at 0422-2302323, East Zone office at 0422-2577056, West Zone Office at 0422-2551700, South Zone office at 0422-2252482, North Zone office at 0422-2243133 and the Central Zone office at 0422-2215618."
