Highways between TN and Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh to be closed from Mar 21, until Mar 31

All highways connecting TN and Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, will be closed for all motor traffic, from tomorrow Mar 21, until Mar 31.


All highways connecting TN and Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, will be closed for all motor traffic, from tomorrow Mar 21, until Mar 31.

Only certain restricted vehicles will be allowed to travel on these roads, in that time. 

1. Vehicles carrying essential commodities like milk, petrol, diesel, vegetables, medicines, ambulance and gas cylinders. 

2. Freight vehicles.

3. Passengers travelling due to unavoidable situations, like funerals.

4. Minimum number of buses, plying passengers, travelling for essential reasons. 

However, all the passengers in these vehicles will be subject to screening for COVID-19. All the vehicles will also be fumigated and preventive measures will be undertaken. Considering the general well being of the nation, the public are requested to cooperate for these measures.
