Coimbatore: In a recent announcement by the Directorate of School Education, the half- yearly holidays for government and government aided schools has been extended again. Schools are set to reopen on January 6, 2020 instead of the earlier announced date, January 4.
Coimbatore: In a recent announcement by the Directorate of School Education, the half- yearly holidays for government and government aided schools has been extended again. Schools are set to reopen on January 6, 2020 instead of the earlier announced date, January 4.
The half yearly exams for all government and aided schools were completed on December 23, 2019. And, holidays were announced from December 24, 2019 to Jan 1, 2020, schools were scheduled to reopen on January 2.
As the counting day was also scheduled on January 2, the reopening was postponed to January 3. However, citing that the ballot counting could exceed to the next day, the teachers on election duty petitioned to shift the reopening day to January 4. Following which, the reopening day was changed accordingly.
Now, citing that the teachers are unable to report to duty on January 4 due to delay in counting process, the reopening day has been extended to January, 6.
