TNAU to host one one-day training programme on on 'Beekeeping' on December 6

TNAU to conduct one-day training programme on “Beekeeping” on December 6. Hands-on training will be imparted on various essential aspects of Beekeeping.


Coimbatore: Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), Coimbatore is conducting a one- day training on “Beekeeping” every month at the Department of Agricultural Entomology.

The training for the month of December 2022 will be imparted on December 6 (Tuesday).

Hands on training will be imparted on various essential aspects of Bee keeping:

* Identification of bee species and social organization of bees

* Rearing Indian bees in boxes, general and seasonal management

* Bee forage, yield increase of crops through cross pollination

* Honey extraction

* Enemies and diseases of bees and their management

The candidates willing to attend the one day training has to be present at the Department of Entomology, TNAU, Coimbatore at 9 am, with an ID proof and remit the training fee of Rs.590/- (Rupees five hundred and ninety only) on the day of training.
