TNAU conducts monthly paid Organic Farming Training for the benefit of farmers

TNAU in association with Nammazhvar Organic Farming Research Centre is to conduct monthly organic farming training for the benefit of farmers and other stakeholders., A fee of Rs. 590 is collected for the programme and prebooking of seats is mandatory.


Coimbatore: In order to satisfy the increasing demand of farmers and other stakeholders for acquiring skill in Organic Farming, the Nammazhvar Organic Farming Research Centre, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University has been organizing one day paid training on 7th of every month.

Dr. R. Krishnan, Professor and Head of the Centre, informed that this is the nodal centre of TNAU which embarks on research, training and advocacy services on organic farming, and the centre is equipped with state of the art facilities to analyse the Organic Inputs developed by public or private organizations.

Further, a paid training has been planned to be held at the centre on 7 th December 2022. All about organic farming including organic pest and disease management, weed management, hands on exposure to preparation of organic input preparation, certification procedures and marketing of organically produced agricultural commodities will be dealt in the training.
