The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) will offer hands-on training on various essential aspects of Bee Keeping.
Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) is to offer a one-day training on 'Bee Keeping' every month at the Department of Agricultural Entomology, TNAU, Coimbatore. The training for the month of June will take place on June 6, Monday.
Hands-on training will be imparted on various essential aspects of Bee Keeping such as:
Identification of bee species and social organization of bees
Rearing Indian bees in boxes
General and seasonal management
Bee forage - yield increase of crops through cross-pollination
Honey extraction
Enemies and Diseases of bees and their management
Candidates willing to attend the one-day training program have to be present at the Department of Entomology, TNAU, in Coimbatore at 9 am, show their ID proof and remit the training fee of Rs.590 (Rupees five hundred and ninety only) on the day of training. The timings of the training will be from 9 am to 5 pm.
