Just before CES 2018 is scheduled to begin, Dell has launched a new version of its XPS 13 laptop. The highlight of the newly-launched laptop is its revamped design. The Dell XPS 13 laptop boasts of a new finish in white and has glass fibre woven in. The company claims that XPS 13 doesn't stain over time and looks brand new even after 1,000 days of being used. According to Dell, users will be able to wipe off various stains like pen marks from the XPS laptop.
Dell XPS 13 is priced at Rs $999, and it will go on sale in the US on January 4. However, there is no word on the India price and availability.
The company also said that the laptop doesn't heat up and claims it stays cool for a long time. This happens because the laptop is made of glass fibre materials that stay cooler for a longer time span.
Dell XPS 13 comes with a 13-inch InfinityEdge display that can support Full HD, 4K, and HD. The display has thin bezels on three sides. The thick bezel is at the bottom of the screen close to the keyboard. At 1.22 kg, Dell XPS 13 is among the thinnest laptops in the market. And according to Dell, the laptop is 30% thinner than its predecessor.
The newly-launched XPS 13 is powered by a quad-core 8th generation Intel Core processor and has up to 1TB of SSDs. According to Dell, the laptop's battery would last up to 20 hours in full HD mode. If you use the display for 4K Ultra HD, the laptop's battery life goes down to 11 hours. The laptop comes with a USB Type A to a USB Type C adapter and white chargers and power cords.
