Xiaomi's recently launched budget smartphone in the new series, the Y1, and the Y1 Lite will be up for grabs on Amazon India today. If you are one of those who was not able to buy the device last time, you can do so today starting 12 PM IST. Xiaomi, at the time of the launch, said that the duo will be arriving at offline channels later. These two smartphones have already received MIUI 9.
The Xiaomi Redmi Y1 is priced at Rs 8,999 and Rs 10,999 for the 3GB RAM+32GB storage version and 4GB RAM+64GB storage variants. The less powerful Redmi Y1 Lite is priced at Rs 6,999 for the 2GB RAM + 16GB storage version. It comes in only in one variant.
As a part of the flash sales, Xiaomi Redmi Y1 or Y1 Lite users will be receiving up to 280GB of additional 4G data. They may also get a free subscription to Hungama Music and Hungama Play for 12 months and 3 months respectively.
The dual-SIM (Nano) supporting Xiaomi Redmi Y1 runs MIUI based on Android OS and sports a 5.5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection on top. It is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor, clubbed with 3GB RAM and Adreno 505 GPU.
The new smartphone includes 32GB/64GB of inbuilt storage. However, users can expand the storage space using a microSD card.
