Renowned iPhone leaker Benjamin Geskin reveals all about Apple’s OLED iPhone 8 in an exclusive interview with The Apple Post.
Over recent months leaker Benjamin Geskin has built himself up to be one of the main sources for all things iPhone 8, with the 20 year old Latvian based concept creator sharing never-before seen leaks, news and stunning photorealistic visualizations that have added to the excitement of what many claim will be one of Apple’s most anticipated iPhone releases of all time.
With the official launch of the handset looming, we’ve teamed up with Benjamin for this exclusive interview to share a detailed insight into what to expect from Apple this September.
What new features do you expect Apple to introduce with the iPhone 8?
As shown in multiple component leaks, in a nutshell I expect Apple to release the iPhone 8 with an all new design (Glass/Steel), with a full front facing OLED display that will include a “FaceDetect” facial recognition system, wireless charging, a smart camera and a faster A11 chip.
According to KGI’s Ming-Chi Kuo, dubbed the “best Apple analyst on the planet” by some, Apple will launch the iPhone 8 in fewer colors than usual in an effort to maintain a “boutique” style of branding, with the company appearing to of merged Gold & Rose Gold to create the ‘Copper Gold’ shown in multiple leaks.
When do you expect Apple to launch the new iPhone?
I think previous reports claiming Apple will launch the iPhone 8 at a Keynote on September 12th will be true, with the device likely shipping earlier than usual on September 17th alongside the public release of iOS 11.

Asides from the iPhone 8, what else do you expect Apple to launch in September?
While undoubtedly the iPhone 8 will be the main talking point of the event, I predict Apple will announce an Apple Watch Series 3, Apple TV with 4K & HDR, the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus as well as showing some new iOS 11 features, ARKit demos, and maybe some surprises.
Do you think it’s fair to say this will be Apple’s biggest update to the iPhone?
Yes. The new display form will be a very big change, especially with the removal of the home button plus the first OLED display on an iPhone and of course wireless charging… A big update for sure!
What do you think about Apple charging customers for a wireless charging station?
I imagine Apple will indeed charge customers an extra fee for a wireless charging station similar to Samsung, with the accessory sold both online and in-store.
Benjamin started creating concept renders 5 years ago and has recently seen his online following boom over the past year after he accidentally started receiving iPhone 8 blueprints, images and info which he began to post to Twitter.
