Rocket Malfunction Left China’s Chinasat-9A Satellite in a Lower than Planned Orbit

A malfunction in the upper stage of the rocket has left a Chinese broadcasting satellite in a wrong orbit on Sunday, confirmed the officials of the space agency.

Chinasat-9A, which is a commercial broadcasting satellite of China, was launched atop a Long March 3B from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center, sharp at 12:12 p.m., 18th June. However, the unexpected rocket failure, the highly-ambitious communication satellite ended up in a wrong orbit, as it entered into a lower than planned orbit, because of the fault in the rocket. As the officials of the Chinese space agency confirmed, the Chinasat-9A Broadcasting Satellite was deployed in a lower-than-scheduled orbit after a breakage in the upper stage of the rocket on Sunday.
