Coimbatore: Karpagam College of Engineering organized a week-long orientation programme for first-year B.E/ B.Tech students from 14.09.2023 to 23.09.2023.
On 15 September 2023, B.E Electronics and Communication Engineering and B.E Electrical and Electronics Engineering participated in the second day of the freshmen induction program with their parents.
The program starts with a prayer song, followed by lighting the Kuthuvilakkui.
Dr. V. Tamilselvan, HoD – EEE welcomed the gathering. Dr. V. Kumar Chinnaiyan, Principal of Karpagam College of Engineering felicitated the gathering who has highlighted the college's strengths in curriculum, co-curriculum, extracurricular activities, placement and training. L. Gowrishankar, Coordinator of the event introduced the Chief guest.
Erode Kathir, Writer, Orator and Founder- Six Plus One Training Academy felicitated the event. The speaker started his speech by appreciating the host for starting the program on time. The relevance of the course they have chosen was emphasized, and the speaker also spoke about the value of the placement. He explains how a professor motivates pupils to perform at their highest level. The first graduate students who would bear their parents' pride and duty were also mentioned by the speaker. In addition, he said that students should be proud of themselves for obtaining a degree as compared to the many outstanding kids who were unable to continue their education for a variety of reasons. They must therefore defend the chance they were given. He insisted that they choose a goal and make plans to achieve it. Finally, he emphasized the need for parents to constantly be aware of their children's whereabouts.
The Principal, Dr. V. Kumar Chinnaiyan honoured the Chief Guest with a shawl as a token of appreciation. Dr. Sarankumar, Head of Electronics and Communication Engineering delivered the vote of thanks. Finally, the students were engaged with flying balloons in the event called Note to Heaven with their parents.
