Karpagam College of Engineering, School of Management Studies Successfully organised the Inauguration of 22nd batch of PG Induction Programme for the academic year 2023-2024, MBA, MCA, ME and M.Tech students. The Inaugural Ceremony started with a Prayer song sung by Final year MBA.
The Ceremony was well balanced and had a topical Agenda. Dr.M.R.Vanithamani, Director, School of Management Studies, initiated the event with her welcome address. Dr. V. Kumar Chinnaiyan, Principal delivered the Presidential Address. He highlighted the space missions of our nation and role of various leaders involved in it, relating it to the need of transformation in the mind sets of today’s youngsters.
Mahalingam Srinivasan, Director HR, Velan Valves India Private Limited, Chief Guest of the event throwed light on the importance of people management in organisations. Being passionate, trainable and positive attitude are the basic expectations of the corporate from any fresher, he added. He explored that Passion and career guidance are intertwined aspects of one's professional journey.
He shared his experience about the leadership qualities and human touch of our former president Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, during his association in the project of designing lightweight prosthetics from space-age material to enable polio -disabled children to walk easily. He stressed upon giving importance to the views of fellow humans, respecting the values and belief system of other, being persistent in one’s actions are the most important qualities youngsters need to cultivate for their career success. By providing many real time examples, he enlightened the new incumbents. The session ended with Vote of thanks by Director, School of Computer Applications.
