Coimbatore: The Department of Mechanical Engineering of Karpagam Institute of Technology organised “ Rivals 2023â€, a National level Mini Bike Race event) recently.
The Chief Guests who graced the occasion were Dr S.Tharunkumar, Founder and Team Principal, CRA Motorsports (OPC) Pvt., Ltd., and Mr B. Krishna Kumar, Technical Inspector, ISNEE Motorsport.
The Principal Dr.P.Manimaran, Vice Principal Dr.D.Bhanu, Dean Academics Dr V.J.Arul Karthick, Public Relations Officer Mr K.M.G.Athi Pandiyan, HoDs of various departments, Faculty Members and Students of Karpagam Institute of Technology took part in large numbers.
In this “Rivals 2023†contest, the students were encouraged to exhibit their technical, intellectual and multitasking skills.
The prime objective of this contest is knowledge sharing and stimulating their minds to come out with new ideas for the challenging environment.

It provides a platform for budding engineers to convert their design into a product such as Minibike and finally test their vehicle’s endurance level on the race track.
The event commenced with a rally followed by the endurance test of their remodelled vehicle.

Overall, 35 plus teams participated from various colleges and they showcased their skills on the track.
The prizes were distributed based on the criteria of Design, Evaluation, Innovation and Presentation.

Prize winners have been awarded cash prizes and certificates were distributed to the participants.
