Coimbatore: Around 800 candidates of the SWAYAM (Study Webs of Active-Learning for Young Aspiring Minds), MOOC (Massive Open Online Courses) exams have been delayed for more than 2 hours due to server issues.

With the ongoing server downs, the department was working to fix the problem as soon as possible. The second batch which is scheduled by 1 p.m. has likely appeared at the centre.
Muthu Kumar from Rajapalayam of Virudhunagar district accompanied his wife who is one of the candidates who is taking her exams in Karpagam College of Engineering said, "Since morning we couldn't get clear answers to the issues as the issue was running and their statement regarding this is unclear. Until 12.30 no alternatives were initiated. After a long wait, the candidates departed for lunch, meanwhile the examination has been started for some on one end without intimation."
Though the management has been working to resolve the problem, the waiting period is prolonged causing inconvenience to the candidates who have appeared from various places. After a long wait, the portal issues were resolved and the candidates took up the exams in the relative centers.
