At the 4th annual convocation of Hidhaaya Islamic College for Women in Coimbatore, 68 students were conferred the title of Aalima Hadhiya.
Coimbatore: The fourth convocation ceremony of Hidhaaya Islamic College for Women in Coimbatore was held here on Sunday. As many as 68 students of Hidhaaya Islamic College for Women were conferred with the title 'Aalima Hadhiya' at islamyah matriculation school ground in Karumbukkadai area.
Maulvi M Muhammad Ismail Imdadi, Principal, Hidhaaya Islamic College for Women delivered the welcome address. Jamaat-e-Islami Hind state president Moulavi Haneefa Manfaee presided over the function.
On this occasion, Prof. S. Sampath Kumar, Head of the Department of Sociology, Bharathiar University and Coordinator, Community Colleges and Dr. R. Palanivel, Former Professor, Department of English Language, University of Madras and Bharathiar University felicitated the students who have successfully completed their diploma courses in the Community College and presented certificates to the students who have successfully completed their diploma courses.
Subsequently, he was reminded in the keynote address about the contribution to be made to the society and presented the title and shield of 'Aalima Hadhiya'. Principal of Jamia Manbaul Anwar College, Lalpet and Government Qazi of Cuddalore District, Maulana Moulavi Mufti A. Noorul Amin Halrat Manbaee.Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Coimbatore City President Janab P.S. Umar Farooq addressed the vote of thanks.
The convocation ceremony was attended by more than 1,000 people including students, scholars, community leaders and students.
