The Department of Civil Engineering of Karpagam College organized a guest lecture program titled 'Application of Softwares in Civil Engineering' for its second-year and third-year students on February 3.
Coimbatore: M Muthuraj, Chairman and Managing Director, Profenaa Technologies Pvt. Ltd, Pollachi, was the Chief Guest at the program and created awareness of software applications in the civil engineering field among the budding engineers.
He explained about the application of STAAD PRO, REVIT ARCHITECTURE and SKETCH UP softwares and shared his experience in the field.
He also gave some brainstorming activities to the students to kindle their interest in the session.
Around 55 second-year students and 50 third-year students attended the program. The Co-ordinator of the program P Jeganmurugan delivered the welcome address and D Prasannan concluded the program with a vote of thanks.
