The Scholarship Cell of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University facilitates students regarding all type of scholarships and supports them through various welfare programs.
Coimbatore: The Scholarship Nodal Cell functioning at the Office of the Dean (Agricultural College and Research Institute), Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) in Coimbatore has organized an educational sponsorship program through Mugavari Foundation, Chennai and issued sponsorship orders to 15 students across all constituent and affiliated colleges of the Institute.

Upon Mugavari’s stringent selection processes of Phone Verification, Home Verification, Essay-cum-Prelims test, Personal Interview and Feedback on Mugavari Video Personality Self-assessment by students to validate one’s eligibility, 15 students were selected for the sponsorship of Mugavari Foundation.
Dr. N Venkatesa Palanichamy, Dean, AC&RI, Coimbatore who had been a great support throughout the selection process, delivered the welcome address. He stated that the scholarship cell was facilitating students regarding all type of scholarships and supporting them through various welfare programs.
Dr. V Geethalakshmi, Vice-Chancellor, TNAU, Coimbatore in her inaugural address mentioned that 'fellowships' are financial support provided to students to reduce their financial burden for their higher education and create a strong foundation for their success. She added that various measures are being taken by the University to support them like through Mugavari Foundation. She encouraged students to use the opportunity to shine in their lives.
R Rajendran Managing Director, Rasi Seeds Pvt. Ltd., Coimbatore, one of the supporting pillars of Mugavari Foundation, delivered an insightful address where he emphasised on the importance of giving back to society, so that students will imbibe the necessary quality.
Thereafter, 'Sponsorship Orders' that cover educational expenses including course fee and hostel fee throughout the course period were issued to 15 students selected from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University by Dr. V Geethalakshmi, Vice-Chancellor, TNAU and R Rajendran, Managing Director, Rasi Seeds Pvt. Ltd., in the presence of other University officials.
Dr. R Tamizh Vendan, Registrar, TNAU, Dr. S Vincent, Deputy Registrar (Education), Dr. M Muthuswami, Deputy Registrar (Affiliation), Dr.V Balasubramani, Controller of Examinations, Dr. P G Kavitha, Scholarship Nodal Officer, Mugavari Trustees D Sundaramoorthy and M Vetrivel were present during the occasion.
