1196 students from 14 constituent colleges encompassing 13 degree programs of TNAU participating in the recruitment drive.
Coimbatore:A mass recruitment drive by Garuda Aerospace, Pvt, Ltd. Chennai was organized for the students of TNAU, Coimbatore and constituent colleges on Wednesday.

The drive was organized by the Dean, Centre for Students Welfare, TNAU, Coimbatore with 1196 students from 14 constituent colleges encompassing 13 degree programs of TNAU participating in the recruitment drive.
Dr. N Maragatham, Dean, Centre for Students Welfare welcomed the gathering and Dr. K M Sellamuthu, Professor (Soil Science) & Career Guidance Coordinator, Centre for Students Welfare explained the program.

Dr. R C Agarwal, the Deputy Director General (Education) and National Director (NAHEP), New Delhi, inaugurated the 'Job Fair.' He emphasized that the future of agriculture relies much on technology especially in the areas of artificial intelligence, application of Drones in Agriculture and Internet of Things (IoT). He lauded TNAU for arranging the first-of-its-kind huge job fair and recruiting more than 600 graduates on a single day as Project Managers for Garuda Aerospace Pvt. Ltd.

Dr. V Geethalakshmi, Vice Chancellor of TNAU, Coimbatore, in her presidential address requested students to prepare for technology-driven agriculture. She further stressed the need to integrate soft skills for the personal and professional growth of the students.
Dr. Jayesh Chordiya, Head, Training Division, Garuda Aerospace, Pvt. Ltd., briefed the vision, mission and scope of drones in different areas of applications and its importance in agriculture. Dr. Moghana Lavanya, Placement Coordinator proposed the vote of thanks to conclude the event.
